Congrats! This is long overdue.

Democrats who didn’t care either way and the Whig party just up and died in 1850 and that’s the only way a 3rd party becomes viable in FPTP. And then we just argue back and forth of “well if people just spontaneously saw things the way I do they would vote third party too!” to “That’s not how reality works.”
Your talking point scores your underlying view on the discussion. When it was presented it became open as an allowed point of discussion. As a result, refuting it does not, a straw man make. -It would make for a straw man if you had not presented the previously quoted argument in the first place and you had still gotten the same response of “people know how reality works”, but that’s not what happened.
I’m not Canadian, and the only source of information about Canada’s military spending my statement is based off of is the one you provided.
That’s not a straw man. You left your response open-ended for someone else to draw conclusions and inferences from. In no way was that response out of context or a mischaracterization of the initial idea you layed out. stop trying to straw man the concept of a straw man.

Canada’s expenditure as a % of gdp according to your own source is pretty weak already. Insisting on having no military spending is hardly a real argument. Also, Canada has a very real stake in ensuring russia doesn’t succeed given those coveted waters you guys have along the northern territories.
“According to the polls and everyone I know that voted.”
Is this you because I think I’m missing your point?
“they are working the system to intentionally delay everything until now.”
If only every criminal defendant could afford to do the same…
–It would probably be a moot point because it would be legislated away as a legal strategy by the same officials that were previously dragging their feet for Trump.
“a recent survey from financial firm Empower”
Not a major polling firm, and also not necessarily an unbiased firm.
the people that voted for Harris aren’t relevant to the major reasons why Harris lost.
If an inanimate piece of timber could have won, then clearly the candidate that actually ran did something wrong.
If you believe we live in a free and open Democracy, then sure. That shouldn’t be a problem.
I saw these posts on .world earlier this morning. Liberals are projecting hard across the board in the Lemmyverse as well as that other site.

The Debian 6 wallpaper titled Space Fun has always been my favorite.
No, you should talk to a therapist about exactly this. Why are you feeling annoyed? Why are you disgusted with yourself? Why does laughing elicit feelings of disgust and annoyance? --That association seems indicative of poor mental health.
You may beat the charge, but you wont beat the ride.
…but if simple posession defines who a bad actor is…
The irony of this never ceases to amaze me.
I just heard from Radiolab that he also voted against repealing the electoral college back in 1980 when it was still a proposed constitutional amendment that had already passed congress and was supported by 80% of the voting public.
it would seem he’s just going mask-off again.
