Just like the Spanish Flu is so called because Spain actually took measures against, COVID’s association with China is because they took action sooner than anyone else.

That’s great to hear. Less time than I spend when I go, but for first time trips it’s a decent amount of time for people to get a feel for the place.
Is this still the transit visa free policy? To my understanding you have to be transiting through China to another country for this to work, not going to China as your destination. Getting the visa is kinda a pita because there’s only 5 consulates in the US and you are assigned to one based on your region. I had to fly to Chicago to get mine, so it was basically like 2 vacations.
Like… 84? I kinda lost count but I think it’s right around there. Only like five I haven’t played
What resolution is 3k?
Before Gadaffi, the largest portion of the Libyan economy came from scrapping abandoned WWII era tanks. It was absolutely miserably poor and underdeveloped.
He already refuted the police’s claims of what he had on him when arrested, claiming they must have planted the money and denying that he had a faraday bag. I could see it being him, but it definitely seems a bit convenient. It’ll be interesting to see the trial if they let it be public
Right to work! Right to work!
Feels good to be beating up so many Italian fascists.
OBJECTION! No one has mentioned the best 3ds games, Phoenix Wright.
Cheering on censorship and protectionism, the American chauvinist way
I wrote this during my trip to China, it’s an excerpt from a longer entry, but I found the same line of thought you discuss here;
I think one of the smartest things they’ve done here in China is allow the integration of western luxury brands into society. This prevents the sort of fetishism that was prevalent in the USSR, where people who bought into the (frankly delusional) hype around western brands being of high quality that contributed to (a minority) of people being willing to trade the benefits of socialism for the “benefits” of capitalism.
All the luxury brands are here, and they hold similar status that they do in the west, eg Rolex, Tesla, Nike, etc. but because they’re not forbidden fruit, the fetishizing is not accompanied by desires to dismantle such a system in favor of those forbidden fruit.

What evidence do we have of that? A peace deal was already talked through, but fell through. It did not have any such provisions in it.

Now you can read it without buying it.
That happened to me once. Dude paid me to come to work with him, then after we finished he wanted to hang out in his man cave and drink beer. Then he wanted to have sex with me. Wasn’t that good looking, but head is head.
If you use the sleeping settings, and wake up before your wake up alarm, it will prompt you “it seems you’re awake, do you want to cancel your upcoming alarm?”
They do in fact let you see your usage. Even adjusted to your billing cycle. It’s listed under the cellular section in settings.
People here are really libbed up in my experience. Especially in Boulder, where they’ve destroyed the real left wing culture it had decades ago and replaced it with full on ravenous lib culture, celebrating pricing out the workers and hand wringing over meaningless gestures. The nature is beautiful for sure, but the class consciousness is lower than other parts of the country I’ve visited. Still a lot of internalized racism from living in what is basically a segregated state too.
