If you identify as a socialst, you should challenge your anti-china biases then. You know that:
- In contrast to low US political approval ratings, 96% of Chinese are satisfied with the national government (Edelmans 2016). World Values Surveys says that 83% think the country is run for their benefit rather than for the benefit of special groups. A Harvard research center study of long-term public opinion survey finds that > 95% of Chinese citizens approved their government.
So Chinese people are telling you they trust their government, whereas the US congress has a < 30% approval rating. Maybe we should trust what the people are telling us about their governments.

Yet another completely unsubstantiated piece of western propo. The last I heard the kill count is up to half the population of XinJiang, that’s how gullible westerners are. The christian evangelicals like Adrian Zenz that have been pushing this, have been thoroughly debunked.
Furthermore it certainly benefits the CCP if they paint any criticism as western propaganda
… because so far, all of it has been. US chauvinists lap up every bit of anti-china rhetoric, regardless of the source (usually its either Mike Pompeo, western regime-change academics, or because it confrims their western supremacist biases. There are about 8 talking points the US is pushing against China right now in the context of the trade war, and all of them on inspection, have proven to be false.

Despite claims of “erasing Uyghur culture”, they stated: “I did not find any instance of forced labor or cultural and religious repression. The imams we met at the mosques and the students and teachers at the Xinjiang Islamic Institute told us that they enjoy freedom in practicing Islam and that the Chinese government extends support for maintenance of mosques all over Xinjiang. […]The most visible sign of protection of Uyghur culture by the government is the government-run bilingual kindergarten schools where children learn Putonghua as well as Uyghur language and culture from a very young age.”
