If I understand this commit, it seems like the fixes are waiting on updates to Debian and then to Yunohost. Is that right?

Well this is a bummer.
Installing Lemmy with @yunohost@mastodon.social was probably the easiest way to get it up and running. Hopefully it’s not abandoned.

It is my understanding yes. Yunohost is still on an older version of Debian and Lemmy requires newer dependencies. So it needs to wait for Yunohost to update to newer Debian base.
