Cats are associated with the goddess Nui, and when you see visions of cats walking towards a certain location. You might see them in locations that do not make sense such as inside of stores or other facilities. You never see where they actually go and when you get to where they are they seem to not be there anymore.

Depending on the person you may even see other kinds of animals that go and guide you places before disappearing, but the only way to really know what their intentions are is to sense it energetically. They might also be guiding you away from something as well, or trying to bring your attention towards something useful.
