Force a ceasefire? It’s pretty easy to stop Israel (political pressure, withold aid, funding, etc). How does someone propose to get Hamas to stop being a-holes and shooting at Israel? Walls didn’t work, a dmz didn’t work, and it takes both sides to stop fighting for the conflict to end. And both have pledged that destroying the other is a hill to (literally) die on.

Stop encroaching on their land, starving Palestinians, and accepting a two state solution would go pretty far in getting Hamas to deescalate.
