    The only JRPG that I ever felt was a great game was Nier Automata. Every action JRPG I’ve ever tried playing since has been a disappointment. The genre in my opinion is plagued by bad world building, cringe anime trope characters, and unwieldy/unsatisfying combat.

    Really the only game on that list I’m interested in is FF XVI. As incomplete its story was, empty its world was at times, and how only the companion quests were compelling, I kind of liked FF XV.

        Hope, it’s not a repeat of what happened in XV. Where you needed to watch the CGI anime movie to understand the setting. On the windows release, they had to add in FMVs directly from the movie to add context because how vague certain scenes were originally.
