Do you use mouse on yout Steam Deck to Play strategy games or somethink?

    Yeah, just get a media hub with USB inputs and plug your mouse in, if you get one with a hdmi input you hook up a monitor too

    I have it almost always connected to hub with keyboard and mouse. For every game not just strategy. From strategy games i play spellforce and zoo tycoon1. I mostly play emulated games from ps1 and 2 with default steamdeck inputs, i treating it more like computer than handheld.

    A ex steam deck player here.

    You won’t know how good the trackpads are until you migrate to a platform with a much lousier pad.

    Was whining about it until I realised I had a trust steam controller stashed away. All smiles now.

      Absolutely. I use the trackpads on the deck for various types of controls according to a game but I also use my steam controller with the deck a lot when I game with my XR glasses on the deck - this makes for a very comfortable set-up for gaming.

    For desktop mode I use a mouse and keyboard yes, unfortunately game mode menus support it, none of the games in game mode detect my mouse and keyboard, I have to run those games in desktop mode to use them!
