Just pulled the trigger on an OLED. I haven’t played a game on my PC for over a year, it’s simply used to stream football matches to my Chromecast on the weekends.

I already have a laptop and a PS5 that can do the heavy lifting. I also have a PS Vita that gets used daily simply because it’s so convenient, so I know the Steam Deck will get some play.

Just curious about others.

I would not use the word “ditch” but the steam deck made it easier to separate work from play. My playtime on my laptop has decreased and on the steam deck increased due to adjustments done to my routine.

I play on my laptop at home, i work at univ on my laptop, in between those times i use the steam deck. Some situations are easier to deal with when you have the steam deck to pass time.

      Yup.

I had 2 tires replaced at Pep Boys last week. Normally, I’d dread having to wait around for 45 minutes. I loaded up Gex 64 (since people kept talking about it on reddit lately) and replayed a level 3 times to collect everything that I needed.

The wife appreciates how much time we spend together too since I’m not gaming in the back office nearly as much.

The Deck is the best purchase that I’ve made all year.
