Probably a bit late for feature requests… but I can’t not mention a few:
- Put Baloo on a leash. As soon as large files (or lots of files) are created/moved, it slows everything down and drains my laptop battery like there’s no tomorrow.
- desktop wallpapers that span multiple desktops and/or monitors, set default wallpaper for new monitors
- straightforward export/import of GUI configuration across machines. Takes me ages to set things up my way every time

Plasma/KDE is my favourite DE, by a long shot.
Wish I had the time to get involved sometimes but there’s a way-too-long list of thing for which that goes, and I already have more hobbies than time :(
