Do you have some info on the underlying system? Ontario and Quebec proof are based on the SmartHealthCard specification, so if the BC proof is based on that it would be fairly trivial to add their public key into other apps to validate the legitimacy of their QR code.

Ah, looks like the SmartHealthCard specification is federally mandated, at least according to the verbage used here: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/proof#privacy
This part about businesses verifying out of province proof is interesting: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/proof/businesses#out-of-province
There’s a whole PDF there, too, showing some provinces/territories have QR codes in their records, but no real indication whether they can be read with the BC record checking app: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/covid-19/immunization/immunization-record-examples/immunization_record_samples_canada.pdf
Just tried mine from Quebec in the BC Vaccine Vard Verifier app and it said Please scan an official BC Vaccine Card QR code :(
Guess this is why there’s the big PDF of how to validate all the other Canadians, heh.
