Because the faith isn’t about stopping the bad things from happening to you, it’s about accepting the bad things without question (or even with satisfaction). If you don’t just piously accept unnecessary bullshit inflicted on you, you lack the necessary faith.
It’s honestly not inconsistent, it’s worse.
I’m talking about the churches who outright promise miracles through faith and then make excuses when believing really hard fails to alter reality.
Often blaming followers for a misfortune that could’ve been avoided if they had less faith.
Yeah I hate this. I was told to pray more often to prevent bad things. So in their mind, my misfortune is all because of my lack of praying.
