How is this not fraud or at minimum corruption? This guy resigned and was rehired in the same meeting back in August with a renegotiated 5 year contract with a 40% raise and a severance package. 3 months later his mom’s for liberty school board gets booted and he immediately resigns, granting him his severance? Pretty smelly.

    I remember when they gave the guy the raise and severance package. I assumed it was a poison pill to stop the dems from firing him if they took control of the school board. It played out differently than I expected.

    Still a shitty outcome.

      Board meeting just adjourned. 90 minutes of public comment, then rapid fire approvals by the outgoing (elected out) majority 3 weeks before the new board is seated.

      The finance controller doesn’t even know if the district can afford the severance because they weren’t informed until this morning, while the Republicans on the board were notified last night and accepted the resignation without input from the minority.

      Outrageous in the most literal sense.
