I bought a cargo e-bike back in February and I’m shopping for another e-bike now, and both times I’ve considered and rejected Rad because they’re just not quite cost-competitive vs. (particularly) Lectric and a few other companies anymore in 2023.

I own two Rad bikes and I wouldn’t buy them again. I don’t trust the company at all.

Bummer, I feel the same way about Engwe. My next bike is probably going to be something with a decent mid drive like a Tern or maybe Marin or Specialized.

We have two Rad 6 Plus. Both of them have had brake and power issues (it just won’t turn on or off randomly). I’ve got 350 miles on mine and it gets tuned way more than it should for a bike with miles that low. It feels like it falls out of tune way too easily. Also I had really, really bad experiences with support, both email and in person. Like god damn fellas.

My first experience with them was great! Then they slashed their support and it’s been bad ever since.

I have a rad mission I got on sale for $500. It’s pretty great especially for that price. Heard a lot of people have had issues with theirs though and also heard the support isn’t the best.
