Hey guys, so i’m at the point in my IT career where i’m studying for my A+ and building a home lab. I’ve deployed a virtual machine using Oracle VM virtual box but i am not sure how to add it to my linkedin or resume. I am unsure how to present my virtual machine.

Maybe you’re just supposed to describe your VM setup?
Like host and guest OS, hypervisor, networking, service(s) running etc.

Then you can say you have some experience managing AD etc etc.

I hit up /r/sysadmin for some guides for a friend, they suit this sub as well though so maybe we should pin these for those “what should I do with my lab” posts.
I wouldn’t… it’s a nice accomplishment for you, but if I saw someone post that as a skill or credential I’d immediately know they have no experience. This is like a an electrician saying they can install a light switch as a reason to hire them.
My company treats it the other way, as in it looks like you have enthusiasm for the work. So could go either way?
And in this case, OP has literally no experience, it cant hurt? Really depends how it is written I guess
