The fact that world leaders and the biggest most powerful and influential leaders are not calling for a stop to the fighting is part of what is fueling all of this.

The more of our top world nations just sit on the fence and watch the bloodshed … the more bloodshed and violence will grow - everywhere.

We call ourselves a modern civilized global society … we’re no better than our ancestors a thousand years ago … our mentality hasn’t changed, we just have better weapons.

We don’t even know if this is related to any foreign conflict yet. There has been a rise in antisemitism by white supremacists for the past few years. We unfortunately have our own conflicts too.

Yeah, you are completely right, I should not jump to conclusions. At the same time, the article does show that attacks against Jewish people have increased recently.

We unfortunately have our own conflicts too.

Yes, that’s what I was hinting at. We have enough domestic problems already.

Canada was known for helping to keep the peace and deliver humanitarian aid in the past.

      Now? Well…

The Jewish community doesn’t deserve to be attacked due to a conflict in the Middle East. Full stop.

We do, and across generations. But just because there is an armed conflict between two factions somewhere else, it doesn’t mean we need to replicate it here. We can and should do better.
