A survey is being conducted in Germany about what citizens will do if “Russia attacks Germany.” One in three Germans said they would not go anywhere, and one in four said they would leave the country immediately.
"Sociologists turned to 2,000 adult Germans with the question: “Let’s assume that a military attack on Germany is looming on the horizon, comparable to Russia’s attack on Ukraine. What would you personally most likely do in such a situation?”
- 5% said they would take up arms voluntarily
- 6% expect to wait to be called
- 33% will try to continue their normal life in the best possible way
- 24% will leave the country as soon as possible in case of war
There is practically no difference in answers between East and West Germany"
