For fedizens from South East Asia, we would like to ask you which # would be great to use for posts related to us #SouthEastAsian people and our region. So, it would be easier for us to find each other and things relevant to us. Please vote to the post/link/poll attached below. Thank you! 😊
@pinoy @philippines @pilipinas
@DocCarms @pinoy @philippines @pilipinas @testing
(wait, I have to register? Too tamad)
I actually like all of them except for SEAfedi. Sounds awkward and unfinished.
@pinoy @philippines @pilipinas @testing The link directs to the sign-up page when one tries to answer the poll tho…

Short of having an own instance, (that is, if folks are even considering that) I think you should consider the use of fediverse “groups”.
These are better than toots with hashtags, because the moderators can manage misuse, or membership.
People following the group don’t have to stay in the same instance, too.
I’d like to submit a tounge-in-cheek proposal: #VitaminSEA 😜
Come on! How bad could a dose #VitaminSEA be?
The topics and discussions under this broad hahstag is going to be like falling into a rabbit hole, and will be hard work for moderators.
Me. I like food, and I’m always curious about more, but especially in the #VitaminSEA region. 😛
So, for food-related topics, how about … #CoconutMilkAlliance (a nod to the MilkTeaAlliance from the bird-site, but without its political baggage.) ? :mastohero:
Should work with all (?) diets in our region.
@gowin
Eh I like @CoconutMilkAlliance haha but does it work with all SEA cuisines? (Vietnamese cuisine for example)@gowin Ok I just checked - coconut milk is used in Vietnamese cooking as well (though probably not that much)

That’s include Asia, parts of Africa and South America. 😅
@gowin @pinoy @philippines @pilipinas @testing Lol! How did we forget about #VitaminSEA!!!
@DocCarms
All the travel vloggers and beach nuts are going to fight in that tag, i can just *feel* it
@gowin @pinoy @philippines @pilipinas @testing:mastorofl: Actually, I don’t see anything wrong with the #SouthEastAsia|n hashtag.
Simple, and to-the-point – and nobody gets to “own” the hashtag. :mastoinnocent:
