Disconnected 2023 is an American computer animated comedy movie produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. It features the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Nicholas Cage, Jeffery Tambor, Chris Pratt, Danny Devito and Burt Young in his last role.
This flim centers on four men who die during an explosive decompression of a commercial submersible viewing the Titanic. Their souls join those on the Titanic as they learn to adapt to an afterlife with spirts from another century.
Wonder who would do the voice of the CEO who was piloting the sub?
That’s cursed
Jfc, I laughed way too much at this.
I can’t wait for somebody to make a company that takes rich assholes to go see the site of the Titan submersible implosion in their own piece of shit tin can deathtrap.
Currently reserving my place in Hell for laughing at this.
Jon hamm
Could be an actual good movie. 4 souls added to an afterlife where those already there have been established and weren’t expecting anyone else to join
Not only that but 4 anachronistic souls. They could introduce so much modern day stuff to the situation and really shake things up. That controller alone could very well be click remote levels of powerful by afterlife logic.
So Johnny Sins is just there for fun?
“Johnny Sins is just there for fun?”
Always.
He’s the fish
Nah he is either the pressure diferential or the shotty acrylic window at the front
Thats what really fucked em
Only if Lemmy had Lemmy Gold
💰 here ya go
So . . .OceanGate the movie?
That’s the joke, yes.
I’m glad Johnny Sins is breaking out into more dialog heavy roles.
I saw that too! I suspect this will be a little wetter than he’s used to
Should I make a community for Pixar AI generated movie posters?
YES PLEASE AND TELL US ABOUT IT
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !pixaraimemes@lemmy.ml
Yea, Please make one.

There’s already a community for AI generated images.
He couldn’t look up how to actually spell it cause of being discon(n)ected. 😅

Blows my mind that I didn’t realize it and had to go back to see it.
All the names are misspelled too. It’s gotta be intentional, right?
OpenAI can write you detailed information about anything, can answer anything cause it knows everything, is wildly creative (or seems to be anyway), but has childlike trouble spelling english words.
Sounds like a Disney movie alright. 😅😂
I assumed it was a word play on ‘disCONected’.
can we cast mike tyson as the submarine
The rock. The submarine’s should have The Rock’s face like Thomas Engine.
I do not understand the joke. Could someone please explain?
I don’t get it either. I understand that it’s referencing the dipshit that died in his own submarine, but I don’t understand the intent. If it’s supposed to be funny it’s not hitting for me.
I mean it’s a shitpost, there’s no deeper humor here. Just 'wouldn’t it be funny if family-friendly Disney-owned Pixar made a comedy movie about something so edgy as real people being crushed to death"
It’s the Titanic tourists that died a little while ago.
Oh the rich people that died because an asshole didn’t take engineering safety guidelines seriously?
This post would have been in very bad taste had it not been about asshole billionaires dying a stupid and assuredly horrific death.
To be fair, one of those victims was a teenager who was dragged along by his rich dad. That kid didn’t deserve it.
I don’t think any of them deserved this. On the other hand, it doesn’t keep me up at night, either.
I think it’s because they died mostly due to ignorance and seeming idiocy, instead of malicious intent, cruelty or something of the like. It’s hard to have empathy for someone who took such a big risk for the enjoyment of the experience (like an extreme rollercoaster). Others who are more aware will immediately recognise the sheer danger of such an activity. They all accepted that risk. The fact that they could afford such an activity implies they were probably loaded.
Example headline:
7 millionare adrenaline junkies die in extreme skydiving activity.
– Yeah it’s unfortunate, but it won’t keep me up at night either.
The point I was making was that at least one of them wasn’t an adrenaline junkie, i.e. the kid whose rich dad dragged him along for the ride. IIRC he hadn’t wanted to go in the first place.
If it imploded at depth, they literally wouldn’t have time to feel it.
If it weren’t at depth, it wouldn’t have imploded, so it’s quite certain they became toothpaste before feeling a thing.
That’s the guy ;)

Close! It’s gonna be called Salvaged.

Crash (2004)
I saw the trailer, the story’s pretty crushing but the visuals are breathtaking.
