@Austin_Skeldon I really don’t know these specialist facts and figures but i share your skepticism about the piece. There is remarkably little focus on the peril of climate change in article too. Fossil fuel industry shill???
There aren’t any silver bullets for the energy problem. As the link @Austin_Skeldon@lemmy.ml provided explains, solar can be made better by recycling, but it is important to focus on lifetime cost, and the immediate impact since we’re in an environmental crisis right now.
@yogthos Needs to be far more focus on using less energy, in a variety of established but neglected ways (eg such as more public transport)
Completely agree, that’s the elephant in the room.
