I know, weekend is already over, and I am again 2 days late, but just busy with lots of non-gaming stuff these days.
I am playing Storyteller. The game is available on Switch and was on wish list, but I am playing it on my tablet, as a “free” game with Netflix subscription. The game is an interesting puzzle, where you use given scenes and characters to create the titled story. The controls are great for touch screen, and it’s really fun.
I have so many games started, which started giving me a bit of anxiety, so I did the only thing I could do, pause them all and start something new. So, I’ve now started Demon’s Souls. I’ve played a bit of it on PS3, about a decade or so ago, maybe that’s why the game feels a bit easier than I remember. Probably going to take time with it, and then one by one finish the previously started game… I hope.
That’s all about me, what about all of you? What have you been playing?
Slowly making my way through Hollow Knight finally. Really enjoying it.
Glad you’re giving it a shot! May you always find the mapmaker.
It’s a really good game! Never finished it though, gave up at watcher knights, which I believer are near the end of the game.
Problem with these games is, if you stop playing them for a while, it’s difficult to just jump back in. So, even if you are stuck, and take a break, don’t leave the game for weeks at a time, you’ll have to get good at it again.
I beat Blashpemous 1 finally.
And have now returned to my playthrough of TotK. I’ve been trying to not fast travel (I pretend it makes Link super nauseous, so he avoids it at all costs) and to only ride my horse at a trot or a walk. It’s been slower going, but really let’s me soak it all up. Making my way up to the Gorons to see what’s going on up there.
Congratulations on beating Blasphemous!
Wow that’s a big undertaking. I can understand not fast traveling, but not even galloping the horse? That’s going to take serious effort. Good luck!
Slowly working my way through Tunic, but which is a pretty satisfying little Zelda-like game.
Yeah, have heard great things about it. Hope there aren’t any performance issues on Switch.
Skyward Sword, it’s my first playthrough and so far I’m liking it. I know it got a lot of criticism but I think it’s fun.
I was pretty critical of the original (Wii) version of this game. I didn’t like the forced motion controls, and I didn’t like Fi constantly interrupting what you are doing. But the switch version fixed those two things for me, and it jumped up to probably one of my top 5 Zelda games. It’s a great game that had some dumb design decisions in its original release.
Glad you are enjoying it! Have you done any dungeons yet?
No, literally just finished opening act and made my way into the first one.
Ah, good luck!
Detective Pikachu Returns. It’s okay so far, nothing too hard or groundbreaking.
Is it cute though?
Yes, it is.
I’m wrapping up my old pokemon heart gold playthrough so that I can move on to pokemon black which I have not played yet. Also started Cyberpunk yesterday for when I want to play at the computer.
Playing all the Pokémon games?
How are you liking Cyberpunk?
Wargroove 2. The combat and story are pretty good. I wish it had stuff to unlock by three starring missions though.
How far along are you now? Still loving it?
I just finished the first campaign. And aside from what I mentioned about their not feeling like there’s any sense of character progress or customization (this is what I would tie to three starring missions) it’s really good.
Looking forward to Unicorn Overlord. Hopefully it hits all the right notes for me and not just 80%
Yeah, Unicorn Overlord looks nice. Let’s hope it’s good.
I picked up Fae Farm. I usually don’t buy new games but I really needed a comfort game. It’s cute and relatively mindless.
How are you liking it? I have heard the NPCs are bit shallow, but otherwise the game is pretty fun. Is that true?
I like it okay. Kinda wish I’d have waited till it was on sale. The NPCs are bland but I like running around and collecting ramdom stuff I need to progress.
Ah well, what’s done is done. Just enjoy it for what it is. Even with bland NPCs, the game looks fun.
Ys X. I tried to complete all side quests. I am 47h in and I think I’m close to meeting the final boss.
How are you liking the game? And playing on Switch or another platform?
So, Wargroove 2 has a few modes I’ve played in the last 24 hours that greatly increases the depth and replayability for me.
Played multiplayer with my kid and that’s good fun. Also there’s a whole rogue like subgame with character unlocks that are right up my alley.
So yeah, I’m sure I’ll get my $20 out of it. It does lock up, but infrequently. And I imagine they’ll fix it as soon as they can. Overall it runs really well though. Quick load times etc.
I guess it’s time I finally get and play the first Wargroove. 😀
Sadly nothing. :(
But I should be able to get back to gaming since there’s a holiday this week, either going to start The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails as mentioned before, or maybe go with Anonymous;Code since my copy just arrived.
Well, I am going through a few very slow weeks, hardly get 3-4 hours a week these days. Hopefully things will return to normal soon.
Had some rough time last week but things already improved, even started Anonymous;Code yesterday (and it’s great).
Going to have a lot of time to play now since this is a short week - Thursday is a holiday around here, then I’m using some day offs I had available to rest until the 23rd.
Oooh, that’s nice. I guess you can finish both Anonymous; Code and The Legend of Nayuta by then.
Still playing Baten Kaitos. Still having Baten Kaitos run in the background when I’m not playing it to grind out time.
I recently beat Assassin’s Creed and started continuing my journey through gaming history I missed out on with Beyond Good and Evil. I’m only three hours in but I can already clearly see why this game is still such a fan favorite. This is a level of charming I haven’t seen since Banjo-Kazooie!
How many days remaining now? 1 week done?
Beyond Good and Evil is an interesting game, but I played it when it was quite old, and I wasn’t old enough to appreciate older games. I enjoyed it, just didn’t think it was out of the world.
My in-game time is ~115 hours now. It’s more difficult because the Switch goes into Sleep-Mode and stops the timer and after a while, the battery starts draining while in the dock, so I try not to overdo it for the console’s sake.
Why does battery drain while in the dock? I am pretty sure it doesn’t, but it could be that I never noticed. There was a time when I only played docked, and I recall it was always 100%.
I never noticed anything being wrong either. I don’t think the idling would be related, but that’s the only thing that’s different now. And it stays on 100% for a few hours before doing it regardless.
Hmm… maybe you should get it checked sometime? Though, if it only does that after a few hours, maybe it’s some kind of power management, coupled with idling or something…
