I thought this episode was the best of the season, but it makes me sad looking back at what they could have done. They had such a good cast of side characters ( i wish they had done more with Gigan and the monster village leader) and they actually moved the plot forward, and the premise had a lot of potential. It seemed like they couldn’t decide what kind of isekai show they wanted, so just made them all in one.
Still had the same problem with not knowing which him was in a given scene, but maybe that’s intentional?
Knowing what I know now, I’d probably still have watched it, but lowered my expectations a bit.
