He wants people to like him like the fanatics love Trump. He doesn’t know how to generate that attention, much less how to create affection, so he and others like him copy Trump to try to recreate that fanaticism.

Articles like this feed that craving for attention so he keeps making an ass out of himself for the views.

I think it’s the vague incoherence of Trumpfs ramblings that give him an edge, it allows him lots of forgiveness with his base because they say “he mustn’t have meant it like that.” Where if someone like Elon misspeaks he has no excuse. That and as destructive and inept at being president as Trumpf was he could be seen as disarming with his childish fun side where as Elons past actions follow him and he comes off as a jerk when he’s having fun.

Fortunately we don’t have to worry about Musk becoming president.

Fortunately further, we can also eliminate changing that from the GOPs goals.

Not president on earth anyway. It’s kind of funny and sad that the only place he could become president is on a distant planet in a place he paid for everything.

Nah, I highly doubt he’d risk the exposure to radiation.

As much as he might like to paint himself as the man to bring humanity to the stars, it won’t happen. Not in his lifetime, anyway.
