    What can be done to combat rising anti-Chinese sentiment? It seems even the previously anti war libs are foaming at the mouth for war. My girlfriend is Chinese, in China, and we’re considering rescheduling her trip out here and accelerating my trip there, because we worry that she may be targeted here. Not to mention the fear of war separating us entirely :/

      Yeah if you guys are thinking of relocating to China I’d say go for it. So many cool places. The best we can do here is look at the example of the war on terror. People who “looked liked terrorists” were the target of extreme prejudice and frequently the target of hate crimes. Ask around in lefty communities what actions were taken to educate people, or protect their targeted comrades. There’s no easy answer, unfortunately. The US propaganda machine is incredibly powerful, and you’ll never be able to fully defeat the manufactured hate.
