I don’t think I’ve ever been to a buffet that has a soft serve machine

I don’t visit buffets with frequency, but I believe I’ve been to a sizzler, vegas, and reno buffets which all had soft serve. I went to an Asian buffet restaurant that did not offer soft serve - only individually packaged cheap ice cream. the Asian buffet was the least expensive buffet that I have ever visited. It was mostly Chinese food and sushi with a few American classics but I had a good experience there.

Our local buffet was an asian-american buffet, so they had the soft serve station but they also had these deep fried sugared donut holes that were always my goto.

I like buffets even though I never feel like I get my money’s worth. My favorite station at a buffet is the soft serve machine and the toppings. I like soft serve more than regular ice cream. I only like chocolate and vanilla soft serve. I like the dessert area’s selection of unlimited toppings from sauces to sprinkles and candies. When I go to one of those serve-yourself frozen yogurt shops, I am always worried how much the price will be when I am adding toppings, so I try to hold back.

my family said the same about me too. I just want pizza, beans, and soft serve! they said it wasn’t worth it to take me to a buffet. but now I’m a grown up and they can’t decide for me anymore!

Tbf, he was probably right. Buffet restaurants count on you filling up on cheap carbs.

A little secret I learned from some students at the college dining hall: fill a cup halfway with soft serve, top with coffee. Give it a shot next time you get the chance! Don’t go with twist on your first go. Commit to chocolate or vanilla first.

The navy calls them “dogs”, picture the chocolate frozen yogurt coming out.

Geez I haven’t been to one in ages, but I always quite liked the chocolate milk station.

IMO the carving station and the seafood are the best places to get your money’s worth at a buffet. If that’s your favorite station, your much more likely to get bang for your buck than me who is eating pizza and soft serve.
