The prime minister has now pledged to scrap policies that would force landlords to upgrade energy efficiency in their homes, after pressure from landlords about the costs of doing so, but said the government would “encourage” households to carry out the work.

“This appears to be yet another U-turn that could lead to higher bills just like the prime minister’s decision last week to roll back landlord insulation standards that could leave renters paying an additional £8bn on energy bills,” energy analyst Jess Ralston at non-profit group the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit says. The UK is often described as having some of the oldest and least energy efficient housing in Europe.

People have been saying “Fuck Tories” for years. When are people going to wake up and do something about it?

They don’t win elections. It’s FPTP that keeps giving them keys. The majority vote for other parties, just not same other party.

FPTP has got to go if we want representation.

The youth were saying that in 1979.

Issue is its not really true. While % of tory voters is higher in older generations. It is notable above 0 in all generations. And Increases as more people gain wealth in each generation.

Add to that. The biggest issue is not old folk voting tory. But younger folk refusing to come to gether to vote any opposition.

While youth is unwilling to accept some faults in the people they want to represent them. Then they will never agree to a party able to beat fptp. Or even remove fptp.

This is where elderly win. They have learned to concentrate on the most important battle now. And for a sizable % that is keeping left wing ideals out.

This is the thing that gets me. There’s been a couple politicians stabbed to death by crazies over the years and when it happens we’re supposed to feel bad and talk about what a tragedy it all is, instead of just saying to the rest of them “LET THAT BE A WARNING TO YOU”

I’m not advocating for violence on the internet, because that’s illegal, and it’s funny isn’t it, how it’s illegal, like we can’t even use this mass communication device to organise against our oppressors, but they can use it to order the deaths of soldiers on the battlefield

Anyway i seem to be rambling about something that doesn’t pertain to my original point.

Jo Cox was murdered by a fascist wasn’t she? What kind of warning are you talking about?

Yeah indeed, and there was the London Riots too.

The warning is simple, by sheer weight of numbers the people hold the power, and violent insurrection against those that hold that power is a resort the people have.

The Capitol Insurrection in the US is just another example of it, they were militarised by Trump.

Point being, politicians always have to try and balance our view because of these warnings. Revolutions aren’t pleasant.

Just Stop Oil are already given a bad rap in the press, and these policy flips aren’t going to help. I wouldn’t be surprised if these policies lead to more extreme protests in the future.
