Fall is in the air by me and a few trees are already starting to change colors. Today is one of those mid-50 deg F days with off-and-on rain. So basically perfect. 😀 Inspired by the thoughts of more trees changing soon, the orange Mini Bugout seemed appropriate.

Happy Fall, y’all!

I like it a lot. It’s a great small size that you can even carry in your 5th pocket in jeans if you want. Very light weight, of course, as that’s what the Bugout series is known for. I have never purchased a Benchmade at retail price and prefer to wait for good deals or something used. But for what it is and for what I paid, it’s fantastic. Perfect knife for athletic shorts in the summer too.

I carried a benchmade for a little while, and was never really impressed with it. It’s fine, it’s nothing great. I don’t see anything about it to justify the exorbitant price. I’m sure the lifetime sharpening real is nice but honestly I never used it.

I carry a cheap Gerber folding box cutter now, when the blade gets dull I just toss it and put a new one in. And it works well for 99% of the things I carried a knife for.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuggggghhhhhhhh…one of the things I hate the most about having moved from Canada to the UK is not being able to open carry a knife for utility sake.

I will show my ignorance here, you can’t even carry a slipjoint around now?

Nope, carrying any blade is risky, even an olfa/stanley for work is risky. Stabbings are way lower per capita than shootings in the US, but they don’t give leeway.

I had to give up my collection when I moved here, 150 knives went to better homes before I left.

That’s very surprising and sad to hear. I figured all the “UK compliant” knives would be options there.
