If souls were real, there really should be an absolute ban on the commodification of them in any respect. Many mythologies tell us that owning someone else’s soul allows you to enslave them and we don’t want the human rights violations and invective that come along with that.
So TL;DR no one should have the right to sell any soul or engage in any kind of transaction involving any soul.
