Do leftists support reunification with the mainland? Or do they seek the creation of a distinct socialist society?
Of course, the latter would open up friendly relations with the PRC, but I wonder what are its implications and if it’s a feasible reality.

I’m curious what the general state of the left is in Taiwan. The ROC was by all accounts an incredibly brutal right wing authoritarian government up until recently. Anti-communist death squads, repression, the works.
