    The idea that having lots of kids is a good thing is definitely ideological. You might not have noticed but we have a few billion too many people on this planet, not too few.

      I’m not arguing if it is a good idea or not. I’m pointing the fact that high natality groups became majority in the long run and the majority dictate the policies.

        That was certainly the case some of the time but if that was still true today you would expect groups like the Amish and Catholics to dominate populations while in reality they are very much in decline in terms of importance.

          Amish is a group too far from society and catholics now have a very low tfr. On the other hand ultraortodox in israel and muslim in europe have a growing influence on society.

              Yes, the only one that have power and influence in the world are usa progressives from silicon valley… A quite very local point of view from a nation that define herself like a world power
