Oh, wah wah wah, commie. 🙄 If you have an emergency all you have to do is block their emails and stop answering your phone. Oh, your credit score will tank? Big whoop, you weren’t going to be able to buy a house anyway. 🤓🤪
You gotta pump up those GDP numbers! That’s an extra 18% worth of commerce to count for your gross national product!
Prices are insane! They might be lower in my country (Eu), but still probably inaccessile to most people. Good thing we have a mandatory health insurance, which eats 16.5% of every salary for almost free service. Some people pay extra 10-15€ a month to have basically full service covered.
I think healthcare sucks everywhere, but EU is probably the best place if you need it.
Would price list be cheaper if you pay insurance for around 16.5% of your income in US? Roughly how much? How many people actually pay for insurance?
Which country is that? 16.5% sounds huge. What isn’t free with that?
Australia has universal health care for 2% (most people) to 3.5% (a surcharge for higher earners).
Plus, in some states ambulance is free.
Country is Croatia. Yeah its a lot for sure. Doing any helth check is painfull, waiting for months or even more than a year, but if its emergency you will get fast and good threatment. Sad part is corrupted doctors who take money to make things faster, but thats normal for balkan afaik.
16.5% covers most of the cost, but for example if you need some medication you might have to participate with 0.5-2 €. It depends on the medication, some are completely free and for some you have to pay bit more than that. Another example are some more expensive meds that are not covered by insurance at all, you will pay full price (it can be a lot), but paying 10€ a month for extra insurance will cover most of them.
