Regardless of how this all rolls, actual treaty with the individual indigenous nations will be beginning soon. Just watch.

I’ve been lucky enough to have family involved deeply in this, and the voice, whilst positive, is a bit of a sideshow to the treaties.

There are a lot of nations to treaty with (not one first nation, but many first nations), so it will take time. But, it’s all about to kick off.

The crown did not win by spoils of war, nor did it take over via treaty.

Watch the news. The upcoming wind of change is all based on Australian having no actual, legal rights to claim the continent. No treaty. No spoils of war.

The key word to watch is apartheid. The media will probably start using it soon. Not the Murdoch press, of course.

Sorry, what do you feel is inaccurate in what I’ve said? Interesting response, to go straight to anti vaxxer. Surprised you haven’t pulled to Nazi card yet.

So, what exactly has upset you? That the aboriginal nations are individual nations? That Australia are beginning process to treaty with them? Interesting

Hmm. If you’re genuinely interested, I’m happy to share what I know. Just shout. My family are directly involved with one of the first nations, who are going through the process. Did you know, for example, that as first nations people are not recognised in the constitution, that putting them in prison breaks international law? By subjecting first nations people to crown law, without recognising them, is a crime according to the ICJ. Thus, the government are scrambling to get first nations people even scribbled into the constitution. Because then, they are clear. Hence, the voice. It’s literally all about getting Australia in line, and not breaking the international laws, which we have signed, and are a party to.

Right now, it is apartheid. Legally.

Also interestingly, any first nation can work with any government they wish. The Chinese? Sure, why not. Any country. They are actual entities that have been here forever, have not gone through treaty, and have not lost their land via spoils of war.

                Interesting times indeed.

Do you have a hole in your head? We incarcerate indigenous people at rates way above other demographics.

Get out of here with that conspiracy bullshit.

Exactly. We are in agreement on that.

We are illegally incarcerating them. They are not recognised in the constitution. They have not signed any treaties.

Therefore, we are forcing the crown’s rule of law on an unrecognised group of people (the First Nations).

We’ve signed international agreements on human rights that forbid Australia from doing so. Until first nations people are recognised, we are breaking the law. Hence, the scramble for the voice. Then individual treaties with the nations.

It’s pretty clear and simple stuff. There was a full event held at the Australian National University this month. Some First Nations representatives were there. Representatives from the Governer General’s office were there. The big guns of the legal fraternity were there. It was all about this topic. You might not like, or agree, but it’s factual, the ball is rolling, it’s happening.

Worth reminding people that Murdoch - the Murdoch press you mentioned - is against it.

So either you agree with and support Murdoch, or you support Australia and vote yes.
