I’m really speaking out of my depth, but! I think current use of GMOs is pretty bad. I don’t think GMOs are inherently bad though.

The issue is just that GMOs are often times used to further monoculture. In some crazier instances, companies that manufacture GMOs have planted their seeds in farmer’s land and leveled lawsuits against farmers for using their “IP”.
