Wow, the difference in quality between the Squier and the Donner is incredible. It just feels so much smoother to play, I don’t get the rattle and it just sounds and feels better overall. I’m confused by the reviews comparing the Donner to a p-bass. There’s no comparison. I’m so glad I finally got my hands on my mini! It looks like a doll’s toy next to the standard scale though!

Oh and added bonus, the tone dial actually does something.

I’m still having trouble offloading my Donner. I can’t even trade it in.

That DOES look tiny! Beautiful basses either way! I heard mixed things about Donner, only ever seen a Donner Guitar live once and the girl playing it seemed pretty satisfied. Too bad I’m a lefty, otherwise I would’ve shot you an offer!

It could just be that the Donner needs a proper setup. I don’t know, really. I have to press so hard on the Donner to stop the rattle/buzz. The strings on the Squier feel better and it’s just easier to play. Whether that’s just because of the size, or because of the quality, or the setup, I’m not experienced enough to say. I’m really enjoying it though.

I might just end up donating the Donner if I can’t find a buyer. I’ll be sad to say goodbye to it as it was my first bass, but I just don’t have room to keep 2.
