For many years now I’ve kept it simple with just a Zoom B3n. I use it with some compression and preamp. For certain songs I’ll add a little distortion but generally it does all that I need and does it well. Oh and I really like it as a tuner. :)

Ive always had some toys, but only recently have I become an always-distortion kinda guy. Been getting real cozy with gain. A lot of them chop off the low-lows, but a lot of times its worth the mid-push. Of course some devices retain more or less sub, different circuits and such, but its become a habbit to leave it on.

Things Ive tried and liked a lot: 18v modded Rat (v.2?), 18v modded Ibanez DS-7, Friedman FuzzFiend, and MountainKing Heavy Machine.

My main pedals are Boss BC 1X (multiband compressor) and Darkglass Alpha Omega (preamp / distortion). I also have a Zoom MS-60B (digital multi-fx) but I only actually use it as a tuner.

I typically enjoy a pretty clean tone, but I want to try out Chorus

I love a good chunky overdrive. Not enough that it’s all just fuzz, but something that adds snarl while preserving body. I used a Boss for a while but last year switched to a Darkglass BK3 It’s absolutely amazing. The volume can be a bit tricky to balance but it adds just enough bite with the blend and mid boost to cut through without becoming mud. Highly recommend.
