As a Graphic Designer myself, I was so infuriated of Midjourney. But after some time, I decided to swallow my ego and gave it a try, and damn. Works like a charm when creating moodboards myself. Great for brainstorming ideas for some logos. The thing that I realized is that AI won’t replace me, a person using one will.
I’m not a professional designer but I’ve always being interested in design, 3D design and drawing with charcoal. I also rejected and felt really bad for all the artists but then I read and watched some alternative points of views from other artists and tech channels and they commented that AI should not be seen as a replacement, but as a productivity tool for artists, and now I agree mostly with that point of view, as it can make designers more productive (heavy lifting repetitive tasks, helping with inspiration, small details, etc).
I think the biggest losers may be websites with stock designs (unless they embrace it too).
