Remember the good ol’ days when much of labor (well, some of labor anyway) in the US was backed by the Mob? Might it be nice to have them backing up the revitalized unions of today, always ready to break some kneecaps when it’s required of them? Unfortunately, I don’t think they’re anywhere near as powerful as they used to be. Too bad.
