Does anyone know a way to get rid of the “Other” category in the messages app? I click on the item and nothing populates. There is no way to see what is there or to take any action. iOS 16.6.

It’s most likely cache data that doesn’t fall under other categories. You can ignore it. Or fully delete the messages app and redownload if you’re that worried about it.

Yea you can delete any app but king pressing on it
Some system apps cannot be deleted like safari, settings, and clock app. Messages is ons of the apps you can’t delete. You can hide the messages but you cannot delete it.
