Love paying many times more for tiny seasoning containers while my spice data is harvested and sold to Hungryroot.
the spice must flow
Shai-Hulud is pleased
Hungryroot kinda sucks worth the seasoning too. I’ve done it before and always needed to add a ton of stuff to the recipe to make it have any flavor.
They also think you can cook raw chicken in 6 minutes…
As a rule of thumb I avoid anything advertised on podcasts like the plague.
honkeys
spicesinducing massive planetary costs and efforts to acquire and ingest them as long as they don’t have to physically touch them like a normal human being
Reminds me of that Hapsburg royalty chicken drumstick holder then I decided to look that up and
(CW: meat)first tragedy then farce
Ah yes for when food is too hot for your hands, but not for your tongue.
cw for corpse please
added, sorry
Time is a fart circle, now with faster circles
love that the first sentence mentions Juicero
We really are stuck in 2016 eh
2008 never ended fiscally and 2016 never ended culturally.
Looking forward to the AvE teardown. His Juicero vid is very fumny IMO, if you can tolerate the western chauvinism and chud-coded language (going off memory, I haven’t watched in years).
chud-coded language
It stopped being coded a long time ago
He outright praised the chud convoy of trucks that terrorized Ottawa for two weeks. Man is unfortunately straight up a chud
Well, fuck. Fuck him then, and thank you for the sunlight.
Also fuck me for being in denial apparently
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
we shid and fard and the shid turns to dirt to food to glycogen and we fart agen
Ahh haha i cannot fathom who the fuck would ever want a prefixed amount of spice AND wouldn’t prefer a low tech premix spice pack like what currently exists, eg ‘taco seasoning’. This ‘product’ has to be a proof of concept or patenting effort, or like a pump n’ dump scheme right? No way someone out there actually thinks there’s a market for this
The Juicero was a thing. A fucking Keurig for juice, with proprietary pods.
Never underestimate the stupid bullshit companies will shove out there to part rubes with their money.
I get your point and im just guessing anyway but at least the juicero promised convenience, this seems designed for people already cooking at home.
Thinking on it more, mebbe… could be a monthly sub, including specialized recipes designed for the spice gun and packed with other ingredients like “Blue Apron” or something. Second profit steam selling user data, get bought by Amazon.
Ok i believe you
As much as I hate the AI factor of this product, a monthly prepackeged spice box with recipes was how I learnt to cook. I can see how this product could technically have a place for learner chefs.
Rube Goldberg was right again.
This is just technology for the sake of technology.
:So I bought this ai-powered spice dispenser
: The Spicerr
Reminds me of those shitty expensive mugs called ember. This was before the AI craze and I saw one in like 2017.
You use an app to keep your coffee mug warm instead of drinking it in a reasonable time like a normal person, or just using a thermos.
It’s just a dumb novelty item.
There’s so many gimmick smart products out there
Like I saw a smart shower head
All it did was measure how much water it used, it didn’t have any function aside from that
It was $80
Are tech bros allergic to being normal? just taste the fucking food and adjust/add your seasonings to your liking.
: Yeah well you see…that wouldn’t be very INNOVATIVE would it?
Why are you so stuck in the past, luddite?
I think tech bros need an AI to validate they are making the correct choices at every inconsequential step of their miserable lives
Assuming tech bros can cook. They’re the type to fuck up boiling an egg (no shade to non-trchbros who have done this. We all have to learn)
Tumeric on asparagus is so amazing i got my meat n’ tater bro-in-law eatin em’
no matter what brand i buy my turmeric smells dusty is that just how turmeric is?
You can get fresh tumeric too but the stores don’t always carry it
It’s really funny watching capitalists try to squeeze blood from stone.
who asked for this?
Beat me to it.
How much money was spent on a consultant figuring out wether it should be “spicr” “spicer” or “spicerr”? Also lol at the juicero mention. That thing will become a shibboleth transcending time, the Boycott of our age.
Anyone who has seen any food tiktok knows that people are horrified to overspice things. Having Wikipedia yell at you till you do it right is an actual upgrade
