There is no special significance of fascism, both liberalism and fascism are the actions/ideologies of the same actors in service of the same system. Creating a division between the 2 and then treating 1 as a special threat leaves us with confused tactics.
The category of fascism is to take seriously the PR of say, someone like Al capone as a dignified mobster in comparison to the brutish ones.
