Not electing the alternative, if just to keep him out of office, could also be seen as that.

Why is it that this continues to be the strategy election after election when it’s been proven time and time again to be a failure?

When faced with a monster of an opponent, the DNC keeps deciding to pick the blandest, unlikeable, center-right, status-quo politicians possible to run against them. If COVID hadn’t happened, there’s no way Biden would have won in 2020, Clinton lost in 2016, and both Biden and Harris lost in 2024. Republicans, by virtue of being Republican, always pick a monster as their candidate and we can expect them to keep winning so long as the DNC sits on their ass letting them run the show just so long as they don’t have to stand for anything and jeopardize their own comfy seats in office.

I actually think the media has turned the general population into the equivalent of a petulant child. It’s always me, my issues , my concerns, my success, my fortune, my happiness, my…

It’s crap, and it destroys communities because the individual no longer believes they are part of a greater whole, and they get surprised when the consequences come for the greater whole.

Yeah, dual standards are a thing. People won’t choose a mediocrity over a monster because the mediocrity isn’t perfect.

But there are no perfect candidates.

Give me a break. There’s a hundred mile wide gap between a perfect candidate and Trump/Biden/Harris/Clinton.

This was the argument thrown around leading up to the election because it’s designed to shut down criticism and make people fall in line. It failed yet again, so you can stop trying to make it.
