Yes, that is more succinctly put than my comment. ONI is it’s own game that has more resemblance to RPG elements on top of the colony sim elements. It isn’t the game for me, but I can see the appeal!

I have Oxygen not included a shot and it’s more of a human management type game than the more exponentially growing machinery base that factory offers
Agreed. I love both games, but ONI is a colony sim like RimWorld or Dwarf fortress.

At the beginning, yes. But, once you reach the mid-game your dupes’ needs are basically managed. The end-game is all about crazy engineering.
