Can you still? It was intermittent for a few days, now I havent been able to since the other day
An update was pushed to fdroid today. Haven’t tested it out yet myself, but this post makes it sounds promising!

This release only addresses the most pressing error that prevents YouTube video details from loading. We are aware there are other problems, and we will soon make a separate release to solve them.
I personally am still having trouble watching a select few channels (Phoenix SC being one), but the issue that covered all videos uniformly seems to be fixed
