i use this software, it’s free for 720p (enough for zoom calls) but paid for 1080p

Its greed especially because they are charging you to use your own equipment locally, not using their servers or anything
i don’t like 1080 for webcam stuff, no need to hoard bandwidth nor to show that much deatil of my face, i bought my camera for other uses, only got connected as webcam when i was doing job interviews
