Summary

Iranian pop star Amir Hossein Maghsoudloo, known as Tataloo, has been sentenced to death for blasphemy after the supreme court overturned a prior five-year prison sentence.

Tataloo, who had been living in Istanbul since 2018, was extradited to Iran in 2023 and has since been detained.

He also faces charges of promoting “prostitution” and spreading “propaganda” against the Islamic Republic.

The verdict is not final and can still be appealed.

Once a figure courted by conservatives, Tataloo gained fame for his controversial music and tattoos.

    “blasphemy”

Holy hell. How anyone defends these overly religious, dirt ball countries boggles my mind. Overzealous religion rules with an iron fist.

In Poland, you can be arrested and charged with “offending religious feelings”

America is far from perfect, but I can pretty much say whatever I want, with few exceptions, and not be subjected to legal consequences.

Don’t worry, thats gonna change with project 2025. Iran was a pretty progressive country before a bunch of zealots taken the power.

You mean like how they’re murdering women by preventing life saving health care?

At least this dude said something. These women were killed for simply being a woman.

          The action is already started.

I don’t believe you know what “murder” means.

Again, someone call me when this project 2025 stuff starts coming to light. And I mean legitimately.
