Didn’t realise they’re illegal here. Makes you feel a bit patriotic.
Designed by a seven year old with a broken crayon.
So that’s why Musk is sticking his oar in UK politics. Wind your neck in you weirdo, you’re giving actual engineers a bad rep.
Our road laws are like a chain so they’re also on the hook for driving without insurance, No Tax, no MOT, Violation of customs and duties, and I’m not a lawyer but whoever is might have a nice pay day
Also they require proof of insurance to release the vehicle? That’ll be a problem. Can’t get insurance without an MOT.
Off to hang out with Brum in the Beaulieu Motor Museum then
I think Brum lives in the Cotswolds.
CT would never make it there, too many A roads.
Possibly, not sure how it works if they’re a visitor from mainland Europe (the reg plate doesn’t look to be a UK one) - if their vehicle isn’t road legal in the UK, does that invalidate their insurance where they’re from?
They aren’t road legal by EU laws either, although there are a hand full of owners from EU countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Austria) that managed to get theirs registered through exceptions.
It was a UK driver, and even a foreign policy would only be valid for a vehicle that meets UK registration and roadworthy standards.
“rocket-like, bullet-proof steel materials” nice one BBC
goes to find videos of people shooting cybertrucks
(I wonder if giving a single cybertruck to a single trans influencer would do it? It only took a single can of Bud Light after all…)
Brilliant idea. Make Tesla a car for queers ( image wise ) and see musk go crazy over it ( probably ).
How did the vehicle get into the UK if it is illegal? Surely it would have been stopped at the border or customs.
My guess they came via a ferry or the channel tunnel.
There is still border control when you take the ferry and channel tunnel.
Yeah, but do they check the vehicles too or just the occupants and what’s in the vehicle? I’ve never actually used either so not sure how it works.
If you rock up to border control in a Cybertruck truck any half decent agent will have alarm bells going off in their mind and most likely will stop you. I think a lot of people know the Cybertruck is an illegal vehicle in the UK.
Furthermore, once you reach the other side you would be driving an illegal vehicle instantly. I’d say on the ferry you have pretty much no chance of getting past border control as the UK border control is actually in the UK. However, the channel tunnel the border control is in France so if you get passed that somehow and onto the train you are free.
There was one in Hertford (near Ginger Indian restaurant) around Christmas, think it had French plates. Remember having a laugh as it was pissing down and they were having trouble turning round in our small streets. Everyone else manages though, even the dustman ;-)
And likely never will be because of its unsafe design
Hey hey it’s only £48,000 if you buy it new. If you get one used, they’re usually a lot cheaper but they can be as much as twenty-eight pounds.
I think this still weighs more than 28 lbs
£28, freedomlover!
I got whoooshed hard
