No you fucking don’t. I fucking didn’t. Who believes this shit lol.
You love to see the “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” folks. I saw a comment on TikTok yesterday flinging mud at the average hourly pay in China being lower but like, that’s the point. Their basic needs are met and they are also going into a deflationary period according to all the “China is going to collapse any day now” propaganda. Like they just need less money to live. Compare to our economy where we are paid a 5th at least of what the living wage is.
yeah, I went on a trip to Cuba and it’s a country that has been in the vice for half a century, and purposely under developed in the centuries before so it’s not “rich” by anglo standards.
anyway, I’m with all these dumbass libs and they scoffed at the “low” salaries professionals make so I pointed out that they pay nothing for healthcare, education, housing is ultra low cost with no interest, easy loans for materials to improve, utilities are pennies, basic nutrition/food is a right and heavily subsidized, and public transportation is free. so what the fuck is a giant salary needed for?
and it was like somebody sucked all the air out of the room as the gears in their atrophied brains ground to a halt trying to understand what work-life balance was about if you didn’t have to grovel and follow orders for big money from the rich just so you could turn around and give it all back to them for the right to exist.
It’s really a hill I will die on. For reference, I’m literally a money abolitionist. I state that because in the past, I’ve had other leftists raise their brows at that lol. But money shouldn’t exit. Full stop.
But with that said, it’s the society we live in. What we earn as income should be directly proportional to our cost of living. People lose their shit over the argument that minimum wage in the states should technically be $30/hour or whatever but that amount is really not even the argument. The argument is that is cost so fucking much in the states to just merely exist. This is not even getting into the argument that, yes, all wages should have increased a long time ago. The minimum wages is literally supposed to be what you need to earn in order to live comfortably and also be able to save.
AES states(Cuba and China as examples) that actually provide for their people don’t have profit healthcare or schools because those are SERVICES. They are rights. You take all of the stuff like that out of the equation and people just simply need less money. And that money all goes towards entertainment and hobbies, etc. Westoids just can’t comprehend having a built in right to necessary needs and it’s sad.
Sidenote but I think a lot of us weren’t as culturally shocked by the RedNote propaganda wall coming down as other westerners not quite radicalized, but damn the Chinese users on that platform seem just chill as fuck and just all around happy and it’s in no small part due to their living in a country that actually provides, I can guarantee. I’m legit jealous. I’d be curious about the amount of mental illness there compared to the States. I know a lot of my depression is a result of living in a system that constantly tries to kill me.
