Haaretz says an inquiry into alleged sex crimes during the Hamas-led attack would also involve scrutiny of sexual abuse allegations against Israel made by Palestinians

Israel is obstructing a UN investigation into alleged sexual violence committed during the Hamas-led 7 October attacks, according to a report by Haaretz.

The request, which was rejected by Israel, would have allowed the UN access into Israeli prisons to conduct investigations into the treatment of Palestinians held there.

Torture, rape and murder have all been reported as rife at the facility, one of several prisons where Palestinians have been mistreated for decades.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir confirmed that conditions inside Israeli prisons “have indeed worsened” since the war on Gaza began, adding: "I am proud of that.”

In 1995, Ben-Gvir came to public attention for the first time, when he appeared on television brandishing a Cadillac hood ornament that had been stolen from Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin’s car, and declared: “We got to his car, and we’ll get to him too.” Several weeks later, Rabin was assassinated by right-wing extremist Yigal Amir.[10][21]

        Yeah, he’s a giant piece of shit and always has been.

        At 18 he was so extreme the IDF refused to take him so he wasn’t just excused from mandatory service, he was prohibited from ever joining.

        Now he’s the National Security Minister in charge of the police…
