The oldest millennial is 50 or so and I’m in my early 30s, generations are nonsense and it’s generally bad to generalize based around the oldest of a made uo demographic regardless.
50 is still gen x territory I think, oldest millenials are ~40
To me there mark of the millennial is spending all/almost all of their entire working life in the wake of the financial crisis. These are the folks for whom the American dream was dead on arrival. A 50 year old would have been born in 74 and so 34 in '08 and started their career in the 90s, they probably felt a glimmer of hope at some point
They got fucked hard actually since they’re the ones who saw their home equity collapse, got laid off mid career etc

Of course I can only speak for my zoomer friend group, and things can always change as we age, but I feel like the prevailing opinion of ours for the kids is pity. Like the contradictions and crisis that have made our last decade shit are only going to get worse for them. Here’s hoping we don’t continue the war.
