    While I totally support he Sandinistas I honestly hope Daniel Ortega is replaced by someone younger and with more Marxist Leninist ideals, which he has kind of left behind.

      Yes, i hope so too. Ortega has done a good job at maintaining the country in one piece but i genuinely fear what will happen after he becomes too old- there is growing reactionary beliefs among the populace, especially with most of the youth that are still in college and the Sandinista party itself would most likey split four different ways if he ever was to leave politics due to health circumstances or anything else. But for now, i’m trying to enjoy the calm before the storm.

        He became a catholic and has pushed for anti abortion laws, you’re losing a big part of the popular vote there with the younger generations that care more about identity politics there, and fairly so, but this is the best we can get I guess.
